The Notre Dame Hounds have acquired Nick Beatty from the Grand Falls Rapids of the Maritime Hockey League, in exchange for a Player Development Fee.
Beatty, 18, hails from Quispamsis, NB, and split his rookie junior campaign a year ago between the Northern Ontario Hockey League’s Powassan VooDoos, and the Rapids. A 2005-born forward, Beatty posted 10 points in 45 games in 2023-24.
His father, Rob, spent seven years as a scout for the Carolina Hurricanes of the National Hockey League after graduating from the University of New Brunswick.
