WILCOX, SK – Notre Dame Hounds forward Marko Djordjevic has committed to Toronto Metropolitan University of USports and Ontario University Athletics for the 2025-26 campaign.
Djordjevic, 20, has posted 65 points in 109 Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League games, all with the Jr Hounds.
“Marko is a player that came to Notre dame three years ago, went through some ups and downs, but is a guy that has bought into the process and the program,” said Notre Dame head coach Brett Pilkington.
“It is great to see him being awarded for all his hard work.”
A native of Leduc, AB, Marko signed with Notre Dame early in the 2022-23 season and truly exploded this year, leading the club in points with 38 through 41 games while leading the SJHL in Faceoffs taken and won.
He played minor hockey at home in Leduc, just outside Edmonton, where he finished his U18 career with the Leduc Oil Kings AAA in 2022.
Toronto Metropolitan, formerly Ryerson University, is located downtown Toronto and is currently ranked No. 10 in Canada in Men’s Hockey as of Feb. 3, 2025.
They play at the Mattamy Athletic Centre in the same spot as the legendary Maple Leaf Gardens, the former home of the Toronto Maple Leafs.
Congratulations, Marko, from all of us with the Jr. Hounds!
