Hounds sign Alaskan Helgeson
The Notre Dame Hounds Junior A signed Luke Helgeson Tuesday.
Helgeson, 17, is a 5-foot-11, 170-pound defenceman, and joins the club out of the Cleveland Barons minor hockey system in Ohio.
A native of Anchorage, AK, he split time in the North American Hockey League in his home state with the Kenai River Brown Bears, and in Iowa with the North Iowa Bulls for a total of 23 contests at the junior level.
