Jr. A Hounds looking for Volunteer Assistant Coach

VOLUNTEER ASSISTANT HOCKEY COACH

Athol Murray College of Notre Dame is offering a tremendous opportunity to gain valuable coaching experience and learn hockey analytics with Canada’s leading hockey development program. Notre Dame is looking for a volunteer Assistant Hockey Coach for the Junior A Notre Dame Hounds. The individual in this position would be in charge of video breakdown and analytics. You would be involved in practices, video presentations, team meetings and game day preparation.

Notre Dame is looking for someone who is motivated, responsible and can demonstrate their knowledge of the game of hockey. Candidates must demonstrate honest and ethical behaviour to maintain the integrity of the College and the hockey program.

The essential roles for this position include, but are not limited to:
  • Actively involved in team practices.
  • Providing video presentations to players and coaches.
  • Being present for team meetings.
  • Video breakdown of all games for the Junior A Hounds.
  • Producing weekly recap and highlight videos.
  • Developing methods for efficient data collection.
  • Summarizing performance data across various scenarios: overall team, individual players, last-X-games, period by period, special teams, etc.
