Davies makes it a hat trick for the award
CANALTA HOTELS SJHL PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Joey Davies, Humboldt Broncos
1992 F Joey Davies (Demorestville ON )makes it a hat-trick and the first time in recent memory the same player has won this award for three straight weeks. Davies tallied three goals and four assists in three games played, with his biggest output coming last Tuesday in a 5-0 win over Melfort when he picked up two goals and two assists. Friday night, he scored one and set up another in a 5-1 decision over the Mustangs and then one night later he had an assist on his team’s lone goal in a 2-1 loss to Nipawin. He leads the league with 18-goals and 16-assists in 22-games so far this season.

Sam Aulie, Notre Dame Hounds
1994 F Sam Aulie (Lumsden SK) set up a goal on Friday night in a shootout loss to the Battlefords North Stars and then came back the very next night and posted a pair of markers in a defeat over Kindersley. Aulie has been one of the hottest players on one of the hottest teams in the league as of late and now has 11-goals and 10-assists in 21-games played this season and is now the second leading rookie point getter in the league.
CANALTA HOTELS SJHL DEFENSEMAN OF THE WEEK
Chase Norrish, Yorkton Terriers
1993 D Chase Norrish (Strongfield SK) collected a goal and two assists in four games played last week as he continues to be one of the pillars on the Terrier blueline. Norrish had his biggest offensive game on Friday night when he scored a goal and an assist in a victory over Weyburn. He also had an assist earlier in the week against the La Ronge Ice Wolves. For the season, Norrish has 2-goals and 7-assists in 23-games.

Davis Jones, Nipawin Hawks
1992 G Davis Jones (St. Albert AB) hasn’t put up the eye popping numbers like he did last season, but he is showing signs of going on a hot streak. Jones won both of his starts last week , beating two very good hockey teams in making 24-saves in a 1-0 win over Melville on Friday. He stopped 26-of-27 on Saturday in a 2-1 victory over the Humboldt Broncos. The big week has allowed Jones to get his GAA down to 2.99 on the season and his SPCT goes up
