Notre Dame high school alumnus Van Eger has been assigned by the Western Hockey League’s Swift Current Broncos to the Junior Hounds.

Eger, a 2005-born forward, spent three years between 2019 and 2022 in Wilcox, and was a key piece of the Hounds U18AAA that made it to the U18 National Championship in 2022.

He is a native of Willow Bunch, SK.

He has seven points in 70 career WHL games, all with the Broncos.

The Broncos retain his Western Hockey League rights, and could call upon Eger’s services if necessary for the rest of the season.
