Hounds announce Opening-Day Roster for ’23-’24 campaign
The Notre Dame Hounds have announced their Opening Day squad ahead of the opening of the 2023-2024 Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League campaign on Saturday in Humboldt.
The roster features:
- Eleven players returning from the 2022-2023 Hounds team (Speranza, Sato, Bird, Kalamaras, Smith-Davis, Baylis, Djordjevic, Hunks, O’Keefe, Palmarin & Tremblay-Kau)
- A further four appeared as affiliated players for the team in the 2022-2023 SJHL season (Cooney, Freigang, Hynes & Hui)
- One rookie who appeared as an affiliated player in the 2021-2022 SJHL season (Freigang)
- Seven current or past Notre Dame High Schoolers (Reagan, Cooney, Freigang, Hynes, O’Keefe, Hui & Palmarin)
- Six 2003 birth years, nine 2004 birth years, nine 2005 birth years, and two 2006 birth years
- Two dual citizens of Canada and the United States, one dual citizen of Canada and Germany, five imports, and 19 Canadians
