Hounds sign Goaltender Benjamin Patt

With the early loss of Jordan Greenfield-Flemon to the NCAA, the Hounds had to go looking for another goaltender. With the trade deadline quickly approaching, the Hounds were able to look into their past, and bring back popular teammate Benjamin Patt. Patt was traded to the Woodstock Slammers last season, but is more than welcomed back to the Wilcox-based, Notre Dame Hounds.

“It was tough trading Ben last season, but we felt he was good enough to be a #1 goaltender and deserved that opportunity in Woodstock. He has proven to be a very good Jr A goalie,” Head Coach/GM Clint Mylymok said. “Maybe even more important, is the fact he is also a great teammate and leader.  Getting a goalie with SJHL experience is a good fit for us, and the fact that he was part of our success a few years ago is a bonus. He knows the league; knows Notre Dame; and will be a welcomed addition to the team”

Patt was part of a Woodstock Slammers team that hosted the 2015 Fred Page Cup and has played in a league Finals the previous two years in the SJHL and MHL. He has also amassed a Save % of .920 or higher in those two regular seasons.
